The B.U.L.L.Y. Movement

What’s been going on Instagram lately? Well, I have news for you! Let’s not doubt our generation by thinking that all they do is bash others when it comes to the type of clothes they wear and the people they choose to associate themselves with. There’s a new movement in the city of Baltimore that’s encouraging us to halt the unnecessary bullying acts of judging people by what they wear.

So what is this B.U.L.L.Y. Movement?

B.U.L.L.Y. stands for Before Useless Luxuries, Love Yourself. If you’re a little unclear exactly what that may stand for, let me clear it up for you. Too often do we look at the materialistic things in life and think that they make who we are. You may love those new Jordans that came out at the beginning of the month but is it really worth saying that if you can’t have those newly glorified tennis shoes, you are out of the loop and people will continue to talk down to you about the shoes that you’re wearing? Umm, I think not!

The B.U.L.L.Y. Movement, created by artist Ellis Ace Foster, is here to remind you that you are what’s really important, not what you wear or even what some people may believe defines them. In a recent communication with the founder of this movement, he says “B.U.L.L.Y. Movement implies individuality and not needing luxuries and fame to feel important than anyone else. Just be you.” Well, enough said!

Ellis also wants everyone to look out for The B.U.L.L.Y. Movement T-shirts coming soon to supports of the movement. But you don’t have to wait for those T-shirts to be released to be apart of this movement. It started with Instagram as you all know. Why not show your support there. All that Ellis ask is for us to post a picture of yourself in support of the B.U.L.L.Y. Movement and to tag him at @ellis_ace_foster. Let people on your time line know that it’s not about the luxuries. It’s all about the love for yourself!
