YTube Vid of the Week: Awkward Twilight Stares

Ever watched movie and busted out laughing every time the main characters stared at each other awkwardly, like we as the audience were suppose to know everything they were thinking? I do it all the time. I pretty much laugh at any movie that has this happen in it, especially romance films.

In romance films, main characters are always caught in a scene where they stare like their so deeply in love. I laugh at those scenes the most because the background music always is intense and it kind of makes me feel a little uncomfortable watching the scene. I feel like I’m intruding in someone’s personal love life. I don’t know why it’s funny. I guess that makes me a little childish thinking like that. But who cares? It’s silly.

Often I ask, are relationships really like this. Do people really look at each other uncomfortably non-stop when their in love? I believe I’ve experienced love and I don’t recall ever staring at someone like that. Someone needs to let me know if their relationship is like a movie when it comes to this. It’d be interesting to know.

Anyway, for the YTube Vid of the week, I chose to share this video of awkward stares. The Twilight Saga, to me, is infamous for its awkward stares. So awkward, it’s weird watching this movie with my boyfriend. Well, maybe not. We just die laughing at it. My sister especially would love to watch this YTube Vid of the Week because we often joke about some of these scenes in this video. This video is extremely long because this saga had a lot of weird elongated scenes of people just looking weirdly at each other. I really don’t know how I would react if I met these people in real life, or anyone who is like this at all in real life. I might scream because they’re being unbearable with the stares. I hope this video gives you as much laughs as I had because it’s simply ridiculous.

Raven’s Cravings The Movie

Who likes to watch movies? I know that I do. But I’m so use to seeing films in the theater, sometimes it blinds me of the mini films that are produced by people in our own little town of Baltimore City. Baltimore has so many talented people. I try to support those who are trying their best to succeed.

Have all heard of a book named “Raven’s Cravings- A Baltimore Tale?”

Here’s a little book synopsis for you:

“Meet Raven, a young light-skinned honey dip from Baltimore City. Her mother Ellen becomes a junkie by messing with the wrong man and her bad habits caused them to lose their house and their family, and for Raven, her mind.
Raven assumed life hated her and the only person she had was her best friend, Jodi, that was until she met Killa. Who couldn’t have came at a more perfect time in her life.
They shared what people may call a “fairy tale” relationship.
Raven is now living the life she thinks she deserves.
But all that glitter’s ain’t gold, tragedy hits home hard, and with no one to turn to Raven develops a craving that she can’t seem to kick. Will Raven be able to kick her craving? Or will her cravings stop her from kicking? LITERALLY!”

Sounds interesting doesn’t it? Well, that’s not all I have to tell my readers. This book’s movie will be released this August and the author of Raven’s Cravings, Angel Williams, sent me the movie trailer to share with the readers of Doc’s Castle Media. Take a look:

Here’s a bit about the author Angel Williams. Angel Williams is a twenty-six years old woman born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Angel attended Dauphin County Technical School and while in school, She always loved writing. She often wrote poetry and short stories while growing up and always had a passion to become a successful author. After she graduated in 2004, she made the decision to move to Baltimore, Maryland, where she currently resides with her fiancé, Eric, who always gives her the motivation that she needs to complete her goals. She’s now one of Baltimore’s Best Selling Authors of the following books, Envy The Root Of All Evil 1 & 2 &3. Raven’s Cravings- A Baltimore Tale, Pretty Money, Momma I Ain’t No SAINT, and Gold Diggin Honeys.

In 2011 Angel decided to branch off on her own and start her own publishing company. She and Fiance Eric Gwynn are now the proud founders and CEOs of Star City Publications “Where dreams come true.” She started this publishing company in hopes to help other aspiring authors get published, and she’s done very well doing so. As of today her publishing company has over ten great novels published. Her company is greatly standing tall and is very successful.

I’d like to thank Angel Williams for submitting the trailer to Doc’s Castle Media to share and I wish her all the luck with her future endeavors with her publishing company. Thanks, Angel.

If you’d like to invest in getting your own copy of Raven’s Cravings, it’s available online at Barns & Noble. Make sure you pick up a copy before the films released this August 22nd.

Snow White and the Huntsman the movie

In Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart played Snow White. She is the only person, in all the land, that is able to kill the Evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron). Because she is the only one that can beat the evil queen, the evil queen sends the huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to go find Snow White and bring to her Snow White’s pure heart so that she may be the fairest in all the land. The huntsman finds Snow White in the dark forest, but doesn’t capture her. Instead of capturing Snow White, he trains her so she will be able to defeat the evil queen. During the movie Snow White and the huntsman experiences the adventure of a lifetime as they collide with a prince name William, a poisonous apple, and 8 insane dwarves.

Out of Five stars, I gave it a:

Snow White and The Huntsman was okay. The movie didn’t build me up with excitement about the film or make me cheer for the protagonist, Snow White. Kristen Steward is a so-so actor. During the movie, her personality and emotion stayed the same. The only time I saw her show any emotion was at the end of the movie. The person that really wowed me was Charlize Theron. She made me cheer for her, and for a moment, I thought the evil queen was the one in trouble.

Even though the acting was okay, the movie graphics was extraordinary. The dark forest would have had me scared, too. The forest had branches that turned into snakes, maggots that were everywhere, trees that moved, and black dirt that look like smoke. Scary!!

The storyline was also okay because everybody already knows the tale of Snow White. Snow White was enjoyable because of the action and the magical creatures.

Although I thought the movie was just okay, I still recommend everybody to see it. It is a good summer movie that us teens can see and enjoy. Go check it out for yourself.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Movie

If you enjoy vampires being the bad guys, go see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. The movie was a bloody treat. The president that was called Honest Abe was anything but honest. He lied to everybody about being a vampire hunter and he lost a lot that he valued most because he killed vampires. If you want a movie with rare action, go see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

Out of five stars I gave Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter:

Like the book, Abraham Lincoln’s mother dies by a vampire and he dedicates his whole life on making sure every vampire is killed. Even though the book and the movie have the same general idea, the movie was much different from the book. If you read Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith, you would be like me in the movie theater watching and thinking that some scenes that were in the book didn’t happen in the movie, or they definitely changed other scenes. Even though the movie was not like the book, it was still enjoyable. If you didn’t read the book, you’ll think it is an action packed thrill ride. It made you feel like you was a part of the action and history that took place during that time period. You start to root for Lincoln and his sidekicks while watching this film.

The special effects that were added to the movie were also good. The vampires in the movie aren’t the same vampires we see in Twilight and Vampire Diaries. These vampires didn’t have fangs on two teeth alone, but had a whole mouth full of them. They look more like shark teeth. They were far scarier.

The movie had great action but the storyline was off. I believe the movie would have been great if it followed the book’s storyline. Instead of having all action packed scenes, they should have added some scenes about the history of Abe Lincoln. Overall, this movie is acceptable enough for book fans and new fans.
