YTube Vid of the Week: Saving the Drone

Well, it’s not too hard to notice that there’s a craving for a new form of technology lately. Over the holidays, we were shown there was an increase in the demand of a new electronic gadget. I’m talking about those fascinating Drones. Drones swept the US by storm this year as lots of American kids received them as gifts for Christmas.

Thousands of Drones were sold to the average household making it one of the worlds most sought after “toy” in 2014, and possible, the most sought after toy for decades to come. “Worldwide, drone spending is projected to double over the next decade from $6.4 billion annually to $11.5 billion each year, according to research firm the Teal Group.

I wonder what all the hype is about? Maybe I should get one.

Hearing about the hype of these drones has resulting in me finding this video of a man recording his first experience flying his drone. Midway through his flight, the drone begins to lose battery life and begins plummeting at high speeds to the ground. He must rush to save it before it collides to earth and leaving him dreading a short-lived adventure with his new toy.

Original Video:

The original video is quite funny but not as funny as websites like Huffington Post make it out to be. I’m more intrigued with remixes found on YouTube, like the one that follows.

The Whitney Houston addition:

It makes the Drone falling seem more dramatic doesn’t it?

Are you one of the many people who got a Drone for Christmas? Would you like one? Leave you comments below.

YTube Vid of the Week: Louisa Wendorff’s Blank Space // Style (Taylor Swift Mash-Up)

I don’t know what’s been going on with me lately. But I’ve taken a liking to some of Taylor Swift’s songs. Maybe it’s because I’ve started working for Baltimore CBS Radio station Today’s 101.9 that I’ve suddenly taken on this liking. But all they seems to play is Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift singles every hour. They beat their catchy songs into my head. It’s like I have no choice but to listen.

I first came across this week’s YTube Vid of the Week on Fascinately.com, a website that’s nothing but viral videos. I was just surfing when I saw this duo did a mashup of two Taylor Swift songs and made it sound really good. I think they should do more. They actually make you WANT to listen to the songs.

Do you like Taylor Swift? Leave your favorite song below in the comments.

YTube Vid of The Week: Psycho Kid Torches Christmas Tree

Everyone spends their Christmas a bit differently. Apparently, this guy spends all his holidays being ungrateful and a bit crazy each time he doesn’t get what he wants.

Today’s YTube Vid of The Week goes to McJuggerNuggets as he made me laugh so hard on Christmas day. I watched his brother Jesse, who’s often seen as ungrateful in most of their YouTube videos, torch a Christmas tree because he didn’t get a Wii U game console for the holiday. But his brother got an Xbox One. He was jealous much!

Last time I visited their channel, I watched Jess ruin Thanksgiving dinner because his dad burned his Xbox console. So as I watched Jesse this go around, I found that I was not in awe as I seen Jesse ruin another festive holiday for his family. After watching the video, I assumed Jesse’s a hard core gamer because he goes all out for these consoles. Man, all you can do is laugh once you see his reaction this Christmas.

What do you think should have been done about this situation? Do you think Jesse deserved what he got? Leave your comments below.

YTube Vid of The Week: PRINCESS RAP BATTLE- SNOW WHITE VS. ELSA Whitney

Hip-hop is indeed a culture that captivates every soul at least once in a lifetime. But man, can it get to be so damn corny.

This week’s YTube Vid of the Week comes from a random stumble upon while scrolling my Facebook timeline, and not browsing YouTube as I normally do. I was reading an article about Disney princesses on Buzzfeed (don’t ask haha) when I suddenly see a headline that caught my eye regarding two generations of Disney goddesses battle rap for the win. What win? I don’t know. See the ridiculous video below.

The Internet is interesting isn’t it? Can you believe there are more princess rap battles on YouTube? All I can say is the mind is amazing because I never know what motivates people to make some videos. Haha.

Who do you think won this battle? Obviously, it was Elsa, but leave your comments below.

YTube Vid of the Week: Lil Mama The Lyrical Purge 0 To 100 Freestyle

I don’t know why I’m just seeing this freestyle. It seems to have surfaced the Internet about a month and some ago. I could’ve gotten a little too caught up in local activities, or I’m just late as always. There’s no point in sugar-coating it. I’m late with catching on to some things. So? LOL

Lil Mama’s freestyle is the YTube Vid of the Week because we rarely hear from this lady regarding any of her skill sets which she used to place her in the industry’s limelight. Lil Mama hopped on the hip-hop scene with the release of her hot single “Lip Gloss” in 2008. Since then, she’s been known for her hosting gigs, and more recently for her acting role in the TLC biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story as group member Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez. But music wise, what has Lil Mama been up to?

In this video, we see that Lil Mama still got it! She takes on Drake’s 0 to 100 with ease giving us the answer we’ve all been waiting for. I guess, Lil Mama really can rap. Ha-ha!

What do you think? Did she body this verse or have you hear better? Send me the best 0 to 100 freestyle. Leave your comments below.

Have you taken notice to current events lately? Doesn’t it just make wonder if the world is at it’s end? Check out last week’s YTube Vid of the Week: Why I Think This World Should End on Doc’s Castle Media.

YTube Vid of the Week: Why I Think This World Should End

So much chaos is taking place around the world and its becoming an eye opener for many of it’s inhabitants. War has always been a factor in making this world we live in seem more corrupt. But when it comes to the entire well-being of humanity as it pertains to Love, Loyalty, Happiness, Peacefulness, and etc., I beg to differ. People have become crueller and uneasy as time surpasses us. So why should the world continue to spin if the people who live in it are too selfish to nurture it as it yearns for proper care?

Let us take a moment and wake up to what’s really happening in the world today as Prince Ea tells us why he believes this world should end in this week’s YTube Vid of the Week.

They did an awesome job with this one didn’t they? Would you say you agree with what is being said? Leave your comments below.

YTube Vid of the Week: Why You Should Read The Alchemist by Bmore’s Hip-Hop Artist Gillateen

Now, as an advocate of my personal reading movement with my little bookshelf in the comfort of my home, I would recommend some good self-help books to a few of you. But I’ve been slacking on my reading, and have taken a stab at listening to other people’s suggestions about books that they feel are awesome reads.

This week’s YTube Vid of the Week is a dedication to all those people who seek purpose in their life. It’s for all the folks who inspire to achieve something but need that little pick me up of encouragement to do what has to be done for reaching where they want to be. Looking at Gillateen’s growing success tells me the book works magic, so I’m going to get me a copy of the book, too.

How did Gillateen do with his book review? Did he convince you to read The Alchemist? Leave your comments below.
