How To Achieve Beautiful, Healthy Extensions

Bundles

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies , and some gentlemen, we all know what this is about after you see the above picture. You said it, our hair, weaves and/or extensions. What ever you may call it, we all have one thing in common and that is we want it to last long, stay strong, and have beautiful luster and shine. Therefore we need products that gives our hair the results that we want and need. Now, due to the extension we where is not grown out of our roots, extensions do not receive the natural oils that our hair produces we need to treat it and apply the right amount of product and right kind of products to or hair. Now since our extension are not ours, it is in our best bet that we do not add use of excessive heat to our extensions, such as blow dryers, straighter or flat irons or curlers. It is best to air dry your extensions after a co-wash. Another factor that goes into long-lasting hair is Weft sealer. Weft sealer is basically a glue that helps reduce shedding. Shedding is a nightmare to everyone especially if the hair company claims to have minimal to no shedding. So to take extra precautions and seal your weft Ladies! My Last Tip for you all is CONDITIONER !!!!!! The best way to wash your hair is conditioner. Shampoo is good to use only if it does not have sulfur or sulfate in it. That causes the hair to dry out faster than normal. I personally prefer to use “Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner.” The smell is amazing and the softness that it gives my hair is amazing . Another great product is the “Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner.” The smell is so sweet and it leaves your hair with amazing strength. These are just a few tips to keep your extensions Beautiful and healthy. Check out my blog to learn more tips about beauty and fashion!

Product Review: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Acne Pads

Throughout high school, I had very clear skin. Maybe a bump here or a pimple there, but nothing major. I felt so blessed to have such “perfect” skin. Well, never say “perfect.” I noticed that I was started to get acne on my face (NOT a good look). Little by little, my skin was changing. I did not take the change very well. I just wanted to hide! “What was happening to me,” I exclaimed. I even entertained the idea that I was turning into a reptile.

I had to find a solution fast. While at the drug store one day, I decided to pick up the Clearasil Ultra Action Acne Pads. It claimed to give fast results that would be noticeable in 4 hours. It was around 7 bucks which was not bad. I have seen acne products that cost much more. Then again, you get what you pay for, so I was skeptical of course. Nonetheless, I purchased it anyways. I was desperate for any solution. I followed the directions on the bottle and in 4 hours saw no results. Over the course of the next two weeks, I used the product daily and noticed that after each application my skin had become more and more tender. After a while, it seemed as though more acne had formed. I was so upset. The product was way too strong for my poor skin.

Clearasil Rapid Action Acne Pads

Overall, I give the product 5 out of 10. The pads were extremely abrasive on the skin and the acne solution was far too strong my sensitive skin. The packaging was inconvenient for travel because if it were turned any way other then upright, the solution would leak all over the place. What I did like about the product is that the pads were more convenient than using a cloth to wipe your face; this led to a no-hassle clean up.

Perhaps, I will try other products in the Clearasil line, but this particular product was two thumbs down for me.

Is Your Dry Hair Keeping You Down?

Split ends YIKES!
Having troubles with dry hair during these cold winter months? The solution: MOISTURE. Moisture is what your hair needs to keep it soft and not dry and brittle. We all know what cold air does; it dries out the skin and can lead to dry, frayed hair. Try mixing a few drops of natural oils in your conditioner. Oils such as argan oil, olive oil, and castor oil are very good for your hair. Oils help to seal in any moisture that is present in your hair. So, first moisture your hair very well. That can be with conditioners, leave in conditioners,or just plain old water. The oils help to trap the moisture in. Even processed oils will do! Doo-Gro’s line of hair products has excellent oils that I like to mix in my conditioner. Of course, if you want only organic substances in your hair, only use the natural oils. Raw or natural oils can be purchased online, vitamin shops, or any natural food stores. If you want to be very creative, add different types of oils into your conditioner at once! Just be sure not to overdo it with adding the oil or your hair will be one big grease ball mess. YUCK!

Another way to avoid dry hair in the winter time is to do protective styles. Protective styles are any hairstyle that provide low manipulation on the hair and/or tucks away the ends to prevent split ends. This applies to all hair types. These styles can include buns, ponytails, up-dos, hats, scarf’s, and the list goes on and on so be creative. Also, try to limit the usage of heat on your hair during the cold winter days as heat further dries out hair. If you do choose to heat style your hair, use a heat protectant spray or serum and make sure to deep condition before and after you heat style as to preserve moisture in the hair.
